Reviews
Friendly staff and what seems to be a relaxed family business. The food is of OK quality, but could be improved. The gluten-free pizza especially needs an update, as some of the gluten-free pizza options from the supermarket taste better.
The restaurant is in need of a renovation or a re-design. The dark setting and the inventory put a bit of a shadow on the overall impression. This makes it more of a place to quickly dine and go, rather than having lunch- or dinner-time with friends / family.
Rude staff and super unorganized: they gave us a table close to the bathroom (and when we politely asked to move because it didn’t smell nice, they were rude and unwilling), then the dishes did not come all at the same time (my friend actually finished his pizza before we even got our pasta), and the waiters seemed to not know what we ordered.
In the end, after waiting 1h for the food, we were rushed to finish and got kicked out of the restaurant in a rude manner.
Food-wise, I could do better at home.
Would not recommend.
I love this place. It is a simple restaurant, relative cheap but a real Italian restaurant where the Italian people go to have dinner with the normal but at the same time great service. Spaghetti amatriciana, polenta with Pfifferling, tiramisu, panacota with fragola and the red wine of the restaurant. Just amazing. I would like to bring a small part of Italy to Berlin, those mountains and this restaurant.
We ordered three pizza's and waited a really long time for those. The pizza was really small and thin but the crust was too thick. It tasted as if the crust was not even completly cooked and it was a bit raw.
Other than that the taste of the pizza itself was good.
Good location, average food, terrible service and customer attention. Reluctantly gave us a table outside at 21:35 (most restaurants around were open and busy with people arriving at the time) after warning us they were closing at 23:00 (?) and after we assured we would have finished by then. Next, the waiter taking the order warned us they were closing... at 22:30 (??), adding a rather confusing explanation, and at 22:15 some of the workers started coming in and out of the restaurant, nervously shaking their heads as if they were complaining and looking at us as if we were holding them back in some way or it was wrong for us to be sitting there. I don't know what the problem was, if they were tired, angry or overworked, or if something was wrong with the terrace, who knows, but they definitely had one and we received no explanations. Sorry to say this, but the situation was really uncomfortable and the whole experience disappointing.
A unique location in the City centre with a special architecture similar to a cave with lots of separate rooms, so it gets quite intimate for groups, for example. The Food is delicios and they serve a looot of types of pizza, but not only. We've got orata and salad, as well and we returned our plates empty, so it was really delicious! The service is also good and quick and everyone is wearing their smile 😃
Spoilt for choice with their pizza menu. Fresh ingredients, hot from the oven with a crunchy crust. The penne pasta with pesto was also very nice and cheesy. On a good weather day, the outdoor seating is quite a nice dining experience.
We came here because a colleague wanted gluten free pizza and the experience was mediocre and strange. We were led through a series of dark basement like rooms to a room far in the back which was strangely decorated. Service was relatively quick but our drinks came lukewarm and could not be exchanged for chilled ones, so we got some ice cubes. The dark atmosphere, dirty rundown toilets and mediocre pizza tasting of canned ingredients all fit together. Not recommended.
